Castleton KIDS
Leading kids to know and trust Jesus
Our Approach
Our desire is to lead children to know and trust Jesus with the aim that they would grow to be God-centered, Christ-exalting, Spirit-dependent, Bible-saturated, doctrinal-grounded, faith-filled, mission-minded, spiritually mature men and women of God.
We believe that parents are the primary disciplers of their children. Therefore, we desire to work alongside our parents to build their child's faith in God. Our children's programming centers around God's transformative truth from the Bible and on helping children build strong relationships with peers and leaders.
Sunday Mornings in Castleton KIDS
During our 9 A.M. service, families are welcome to worship together in the sanctuary or check their children into Castleton KIDS classes (Nursery-6th Grade). Families can enter through the Family Entrance (Door 3), where our volunteers will greet you and help with the check-in process.
Simple and secure check-in
Our team will register you upon arrival, or you can pre-register your family by clicking the button below. At each visit, you will use your phone number to check in. You will receive two types of stickers. One is a name tag for each child, and one is your code ticket to pick up your child after service. We can’t wait to see you!
Family Worship Sundays
The 1st and any 5th Sundays of each month.
At Castleton Community Church, we believe it is essential to teach children about the value of corporate worship. On the first and any fifth Sundays of each month (during the school year), elementary children attend service with their families for our Family Worship Sunday. We don't mind the extra wiggles and the loudly whispered questions. We pray that parents and our church body take advantage of this opportunity to model worship for their children.
What about on other Sundays? All children are welcome to sit with their parents in the church service on any Sunday. Kids Sermon Notes clipboards are available each Sunday.
Keep up to date on Family Worship Sundays with our KIDS Calendar!
Parent Resources
Castleton KIDS uses The Gospel Project curriculum in our Sunday morning classes. Each Sunday, we invite families to pick up a Family Discipleship Card from the check-in desk and take home the lesson page from their class. These two resources are provided to keep our parents informed and involved in what your kids are learning each week.

Once your child checks into their class, their teacher will lead the class through a prepared lesson plan. They will connect with their leaders and other children, spending time in age-appropriate Bible teaching, activities, and songs. Children will have opportunities to engage with their peers and discuss and apply the Bible lesson through activities, crafts, and conversations.

The Gospel Project is a Christ-centered, chronologically based study for children of all ages. Castleton Kids uses this curriculum for children from nursery through sixth grade. All children learn the same base lesson each week, with age appropriate differentiation. Children will bring home a Parent Page which describes what the child learned in class and ways for parents to further disciple their child through the week.
In Fall 2024, we began a new 3-year curriculum cycle with the Gospel Project curriculum.

Serving in Castleton KIDS Ministry is fun and rewarding. Volunteers must be regular attenders of Castleton, attend bi-annual meetings, and pass a background check.
