Marguerite Havard
Dear Church Family,
Please join us in prayer as Marguerite begins chemotherapy treatment this week for Multiple Myeloma (cancer of plasma cells in bone marrow). We’re so thankful for God’s clear leading in medical decisions and for His supernatural peace. Treatment is initially planned for four months. We’re asking God for strength and energy for Marguerite to continue working in the LifeCenter. Pray for our faithfulness as Christ’s ambassadors to those in the cancer center clinic, to our family members and neighbors. We’re asking Him to bring the cancer into remission quickly and for complete healing, with no lasting negative side effects. Pray for John for wisdom and perseverance as a caretaker. Thank you for your prayers - the Lord hears and answers!

I'm asking for prayers on behalf of my best friend, Cami. She's a part of our youth group; she's been experiencing immense stress over figuring out how to help her family with rent, bills, and a contract fee for a job opportunity. We're praying that this opportunity to help her family becomes available to her and, more importantly, that she and her family can trust in God to provide for them. She's been praying diligently and keeping her heart near God. She would love and appreciate your prayers.

I would greatly appreciate your prayers. Since my fall in 2020, things have been difficult. I have almost no feeling in my left leg and most days I am in pain in my back and neck because of arthritis setting in. I am finally starting to realize that the Lord has plans for me that are not what I had in mind. Life is changing and it is difficult to accept at times. I am praying about moving to Tennessee to be near my 2nd son and the grandchildren there. It will be my final move in life and I love the South and I have never been near my 6 grandchildren there. Looking at selling my home and finding one in Johnson City as I do not want to rent in between.

I am asking prayer for my brother, Steve (he is the son of Norma Jacobson as well), who has been suffering from an unknown illness which is affecting his right arm and leg. He has had 2 MRIs, a CT scan, blood work, Xrays, and a spinal tap so far. Tests showed several white spots in his spinal cord near the brain stem, but the cause is a mystery. Steve has a spinal angiogram on May 12, 6 am. Please pray for healing, peace, direction, wisdom...all the things that God provides when we are in need.

Pray Requests for Ukraine
As the crisis in Ukraine continues to escalate, Alfie and Julie (who lived in Odessa, Ukraine for many years) have shared with me some specific ways you can be praying:
Pray for our own SEND team in Ukraine which is moving across the border to Poland soon.
Please pray for churches to be the hands and feet of Christ, lights on the darkness. Many Ukrainians are moving west, but have no where to go. The family (with their two young boys) in our own apartment in Odessa so far will be sheltering in place.
Please pray for many MK's either in Ukraine and evacuating with family or who are older living in their passport countries and worrying about parents, friends, the home they left.
Pray for peace, the protection of God's image bearers, and the gospel to bring hope to those in despair.
Thank you, church!

My close friend, Susie Dobson, has been in the ICU almost three weeks with severe Covid. She's had so many medical issues! This evening, her pulmonologist told her without intubating her and putting her on a vent she's not going to live (she's 65). Her lungs are not recovering. Please pray that her lungs heal and that she certainly doesn't die! This is quite a turn of events. I've been in the ICU with her every day (I'm her POA) until I got Covid a week ago. Ugh. Too much to process. Thank you for praying!

Thank you all for praying for my dad. After 5 days in the hospital, he was released without needing oxygen. He is still experiencing weakness and some mild discomfort, but seems to be improving each day. He sends his deepest thanks to you for lifting him up in prayer!
