Here is the prayer we prayed and delivered to the healthcare workers that Pastor Tommy mentioned this morning. Would you pray it with us?
To All The Heroes At Community East,
We want to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your tireless work amidst this present crisis. Our church strongly desires to express how grateful we are for your personal sacrifice and your care for those who are suffering.
May this meal in a small way bring strength to you both physically and spiritually, knowing that there are people interceding, before God, on your behalf.
Here is our prayer for you all:
Protection: Heavenly Father, we ask you to protect the health care workers at Community East Hospital. We ask that you guard them both body and soul from the horrors of this pandemic. Protect them from discouragement and renew their hope each day knowing that the God who made them is their shield.
Presence: Father, many of these men and women are being asked to be present with those who are dying alone. Lord, as they are providing their presence to the suffering, would You remind them that You are an ever-present help in trouble. Be near to them in moments that are overwhelming, and may Your Spirit give them wisdom in these weighty moments.
Peace: Lastly, when these men and women go home to bed each night, with the weight of the world on their shoulders, we ask that You grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, You sent Your Son Jesus to bring peace to our hearts, and so we ask that these servants feel & know this peace now and forevermore.
If anyone would desire to talk to a pastor about the burdens you are carrying, we are more than willing to help carry those burdens.
May the God of Peace grant you His peace and hope today.

Please pray for my niece Mallory, who is now in labor with her third son (at least 4 weeks early) in Charlotte. Little Jude is breach and likely will be delivered by C-section then cared for in the NICU. Mallory and her husband lost a perfectly healthy baby at 38 weeks a year and a half ago after the umbilical tangled in a knot. They are emotionally and spiritually fragile. Thank you.

Please pray for Bethany, the 29-year-old daughter of a precious friend of mine and sister in Christ. Bethany was recently diagnosed with aplastic anemia. Doctors say she will need a bone marrow transplant. They are trying to find a match now. Please pray for her protection through this process, as the doctors have recommended she go to a hospital that has lower COVID-19 numbers. Pray for her husband and siblings and for my friend and her husband, who are struggling watching their daughter go through this and can’t be with her.

Thank you church family for praying for our daughter Shawna. She started having symptoms earlier in the month and was finally diagnosed as having COVID-19. She had a rough time of it for awhile but has now started improving. Recovery is slow as she tends to cycle between feeling better and then worse each day, but overall she’s getting better. We’re thanking God for answered prayer.

Please pray for my friend, Bonnie. She lives in Illinois and is Greek Orthodox. She has been reaching out to me daily as she is very anxious about the state our world is in . I have been sharing God’s Word with her and today I did ask her” if she were to die today is she sure she would go to heaven?” Her answer was all works based. I pray she will come to know Jesus as her Savior soon.
